We also have the first provincial-level manufacturing innovation center in Guizhou, namely the Guizhou New Energy Materials Innovation Center.

03

Industry-leading IPs and multiple national and industry standards

We have garnered over 3,500 patent applications cumulatively, with more than 2,200 patents granted. We have also participated in the formulation of over 130 technical standards, including 34 national standards and 27 industry standards.

04

High-level technological achievements leading the global industry

We have been honored a total of four prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award: one first prize and three second prizes. We have also received over 50 provincial-level and above technical awards.

Core Competence

Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group possesses the industry's sole national key laboratory and 19 provincial and ministerial-level innovation platforms. We have been honored with one first prize and three second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and have obtained a total of 2,229 authorized patents. We have also taken the leading role or participated in formulating 130 standards. With a series of major technological innovations, we have continuously consolidated and strengthened the Group's leading position in the fields of phosphorus fine chemicals, the utilization of symbiotic and associated resources such as fluorine and iodine, and the industrial application of phosphorus chemical byproducts. This has effectively supported China's phosphorus and fluorine chemical industry in achieving complete independent intellectual property rights.

Global leader in phosphate mining technology

The Group is at the forefront of both open-pit and underground phosphorus mining technologies on a global scale. The "sublevel open stope method with roof bolting" has been awarded the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, while the "phosphorus chemical waste cementitious filling technology" has received the second prize. We also hold a national patent for the self-developed phosphorus ore collector "WF01", which is valued at RMB 285 million. In 2008, as the general contractor, the Group undertook the construction of the Ma'aden 12.5 million tons/year phosphate ore dressing project in Saudi Arabia, with a total contract value of USD 650 million, marking a trunaround from product export to intellectual output.

Global leader in wet-process phosphoric acid purification technology

Through the introduction of advanced foreign technologies and combined with independent innovation and practical experience, the Group has become the only enterprise in China with mastery of large-scale wet-process purification of phosphoric acid. Currently, the single unit capacity can reach 400,000 tons, and the product has been honored as one of the third batch of "Manufacturing Champion Products" by the State and the second prize of the 2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award. The technology has won 127 authorized patents and more than 850 patents in collaborative development, placing it in a leading position in the global industry. With this technology, the Group current has a phosphoric acid production capacity of 2 million tons, making it the world's largest supplier of phosphoric acid produced based on the technology for industrial, food, and battery-grade applications. This solidifies China's leading position in wet-process phosphoric acid purification technology and supply chain on a global level.

Global leader in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride production technology

The Group pioneered the commercial application of industrialized recovery and utilization of symbiotic and associated resources in phosphate ore. This technology has disrupted the previous methods of extracting fluorine resources from non-renewable fluorite ore. It not only protects the gradually depleting fluorite resources but also opens up a new path for the global industry, especially for strategic fluorine resources in China, by establishing a green and circular cycle. It is hailed as a milestone in the phosphorus and fluorine chemical industry. The technology has garnered more than 50 authorized patents, surpassing international standards. The anhydrous hydrogen fluoride product has been honored as one of the "Manufacturing Champion Products" in the sixth batch recognized by the State. The annual production capacity has reached 210,000 tons, ranking among the top three in the country. By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the Group aims to become the largest and most competitive strategic supplier of fluorine resources globally.

Global leader in comprehensive utilization of industrial by-product gypsum

After years of exploration, the Group has taken the lead in breaking through the technical bottlenecks of industrial by-product gypsum for the production of new types of building materials. We have developed a mature production process and product system, offering a complete range of high-quality wall materials, plate materials, and powder materials, which has paved the way for the industrialization, resource utilization, the value realization of industrial by-product gypsum, and the industry in green development. Currently, the Group is accelerating the implementation of the "1468" project, which involves the industrial by-product gypsum production of 1.4 million tons, sulfuric acid production of 650,000 tons, and cement production of approximately 800,000 tons. The aim is to become the world's largest facility for the resource decomposition and recycling of industrial by-product gypsum.

The Group owns the sole national key laboratory in the industry

The laboratory's main research areas include the beneficiation of medium and low-grade phosphate ores, the recovery of associated resources in phosphate ore, and the fine utilization of phosphorus and its associated resources. Within the production base of the Group, the laboratory has established the Fluorosilicon Research Center and Pilot Plant, Fine Chemical Research Center, and Fine Phosphate Research Center. The laboratory has achieved complete independent IPs for the key core technologies and equipment in the Chinese phosphorus and fluorine chemical industries, substantially assisting the Group in obtaining over 2,100 authorized patents and maintaining its global leadership in innovation capability, and making positive contributions to accelerating China's transformation from a major phosphorus chemical country to a phosphorus chemical power.
